Who are you writing for?

I hope it's just one person.
I hope you aren't writing for the entire world.
I hope you aren't writing to please every single person.
I hope you aren't trying to meet every single demand.
I hope you aren't trying to make everyone happy.

Write for yourself.
That alone is enough.

When you fall: Two Kinds Of People

We fall and get up, from the moment we are learning to walk. Falling, failing these things are inevitable as we learn to do something new. When you fall, there are two kinds of people. Those who will pick you up and others that will kick you while you are down. In this world both can be found in abundance. It's not the one outside which matters. What matters most is which one is inside of you. It is the one your attention goes to when you act with the risk of failure. It's the one that you pay attention to when you have failed. If the one that kicks you down is within you, then you yourself have become the abuser, the oppressor, the tyrant. No longer are you able to freely choose, decide, breathe. Your memory, your fear is your authority, your prison, your chains. A child succeed in walking by falling, by failing repeatedly. Those who fear falling or failing abstain from action. Without action, without failure there cannot be progress, change, growth or success.
